East around (north of) Hidden Valley Airport and continuing east to the shoreline of Lewisville Lake — which is the northeast corner of the City.
East: The east boundary follows the shoreline of Lewisville Lake, beginning (at the ending point of) the north boundary (described above). The east boundary heads south along the shoreline, and including a peninsula, then around a inlet of water and south along (just east of) Shady Shores Road and ending (1/2 mile north of) Montserrat Road — which is the southeast corner of the City.
South (south to north): The southern border begins on S. Shady Shores Road, (1/2 mile north) of Montserrat Road, directly north to Dobbs Road, east to Berry Lane, north to (just south of) Oakwood Circle, west a short distance, then directly north to (just north of) Creek Hill Lane. West to (just west of) Palomino Ct., north to Fritz Lane. West 1 mile, north to (just north of) Hidden Valley Airpark (a street in a residential community). West to Hidden Valley Road (north/south). North to Hidden Valley Road (east/west). West to (just west of) Sunset Circle, south to West Shady Shores Road, west to Swisher Road — which is the southwest corner of the City.
West: (south to north) The west border begins at the intersection of W. Shady Hills Road and Swisher Road, north to Lakeview Blvd., to where the north border begins (described above).
History of Shady Shores, TX
Shady Shores, TX was incorporated in October 1960. The community’s population increased from 543 in 1970 to 813 in 1980. The increase was, in part, a result of the economic development of the area between Dallas and Denton. In 1990 the population was 1,045. The population grew to 1,461 in 2000 and 2,625 in 2010.
